I agree that the market for a middling starter is thin, so many teams are committed either through megadeals or rookies playing out their cheap contract that few jobs may benefit us if we wish to keep him around. He can go to another team, but chances are he's not going to be expected to start for an entire season.

At least here, he's pretty certain to get a handful of starts...
