I'll side with dodged a bullet.  I just don't think a guy bordering on retirement is going to have the energy to completely change the culture.  If you had looked at the Patriots fans message board there wasn't many fans regretting the loss of the GOAT.  In my mind, I feel like you'd get one year of [BLEEP]-chewing that could turn it around for a year, but I don't see Belichick as a good architect in terms of talent acquisition and a sustainable winning approach.

His age was always my concern...  There's no way he'd be able to sustain a winner.  We'd be just another flash in the pan and back to the 1st overall pick.  I don't know, it would be nice to have some wisdom to guide the franchise, because we clearly have no wise person running this front office in terms of NFL experience and how to build a franchise.

He is making UNC make his son the HC in waiting. Along with Matt Patricia joining his staff.

What do you think the likelihood is that we land any of the top coaching prospects?  I mean, let's assume we fire Baalke.  Do you think any of the top coaches would look at this franchise as something to hang their hat on, or just a place to collect a final paycheck?

I don't see Ben Johnson coming here, even if we fire Baalke.  As many have said, there's a chance Baalke survives.  At that point, who is willing to come here and try to perform a miracle?

I'm honestly asking.  There has to be some tier 2 OC that is young enough and willing to lay down the wood and turn a franchise around with a QB that is capable of helping him do that.

There are certain 2nd tier OCs I've mentioned.  The dude from Washington comes to mind.  He's got HC experience and has done well with a rookie QB.  Josh McDaniels seems like he may be ready.

Heck what about that guy at Ole Miss?  I forget his name, but he's young and he's hungry.  

We're a 2nd tier franchise.  Shouldn't we be looking at 2nd tier coaches with an axe to grind?
