First of all, names can deceive.  The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is not democratic, not of the people, and not a republic.  

But back to the Nazis.  There was a socialist aspect to them.  Besides the name, they did take over some of the "means of production" once they had control of government.  

But that wasn't the main thing they sold to the voters, and it wasn't the main thing they did.

And the owners of the "means of production" largely voted for the Nazis, thinking the Nazis either weren't serious about the socialist part, or that they would get more money out of the Nazis doing it than they would if the SPD did it.

The Nazis were not conservative, not at all. But they were right wing. They were to the right of conservative. The word many use is "reactionary".
