Nazi Germany was very far from socialism, as was Fascist Italy, even though Mussolini started out as a socialist. In both cases, the super-rich went right on maintaining private super-riches. Nobody took away private capitalist ownership and nobody provided socialized medicine, government welfare for the disabled and destitute, etc., in the manner of even social democracy. The Nazis were big on families or individuals pulling up their own bootstraps.

Look. The number one rule when liberals are attempting to understand information is to ask yourself the question, "Compared to what?" This is definitely not a good summary of historical political development in Germany after WWI up to the Nazi regime. Go review a reasonable textbook on it.

And let me be even more clear, since it's easy to get this confused. When I used right wing in the example above, it was in a modern US colloquial way. Right in the US is still left.

Right in the US isn't still left. Right in the US means that there are men on the web even now who complain about women having the right to vote! Right means people like Trump sometimes appeal by saying they want to get rid of all income tax and all environmental regulations. Hello federal bankruptcy and hello tons of sewer sludge being openly dumped in the rivers and lakes and bays.
