You are completely ignoring the facts when failing to understand that the facility of a 'death with dignity' being offered in other countries was the result of an electorate demand being placed before legislators in EVERY county with this feature.

You seem to believe the gov'ts of the various countries where this is applicable just decided to enact this in the same manner Insurance companies in your country deny coverage for treatment decided upon things like not declaring a pre-existing condition, not even being of tertiary association with your current illness you might have received treatment for decades ago.

Or worse, a denial by a cubical denizen who gets paid a bonus for seeking out and finding any reason, however minor, to further the denial rate of coverage. Like your chosen specialist being "out of network".

Here's the deal; you keep your fubarred system, that fully 70% of you want rid of, and the rest of us will keep ours. Okie dokie?

One person having a terrible experience shows a system that treats millions a year is completely broken.

That's as silly as a car company stopping making all cars because one of them had a crash. Every healthcare system has bad things happen as does every system for anything. 

Sometimes, bad [BLEEP] happens.

You're right that our system lets private corporations deny care, and that's bad, but our system also lets private wealth, charity, and even the government step in when the corporations do the wrong thing.  In Canada's system, or the UK's if the state says no, that's it.  You're out of luck.

There are four moving parts here.  1, is some form of assisted suicide OK, and if so 1a, how should it work?  2, is state run health care a good idea, and if so, 2a, can private health care also exist besides it?

Canada has definitely answered these four questions in a way to that amounts to euthanizing undesirables to save the state money.

Other states can come up with their own answers in a way that doesn't turn into the disaster Canada has created.
