The news usually doesn't make articles about things that didn't happen.  I won't be able to find an article about a nuclear bomb going off in Jacksonville, just like you won't be able to find an article about a homeless veteran being turned away in New York City.

Then you make another claim.  Money was specifically earmarked? Prove it.

If you think veteran's rate above illegal immigrants to the progressives you have lost your damn mind. My now ex-husband and I are both veterans and when living in Riverside we were friends with a group of folks who were liberals. They didn't care that we were vets as long as we didn't talk about it but if it came up in conversation somehow you would think we had murdered their dog. 

And this was back in the 2007-2010 timeframe when there wasn't as much hate and discontent stirred up by social media and MSM as there is now. Those folks had no love for veterans in general. 

On a slow news day the fate of homeless vets might rank above illegal immigrants, depending on what the story is.

Those people are whack. I remember when a young guy who worked for me in the Navy told me how him and a group of other squids were in a bar scoping out the college girls. They struck up a conversation with some and when they found out the guys were in the service, one started calling them baby killers. The guy laughed about it when he told me. He said he had no idea how to handle it and they just walked away. I told him that was the best way to deal with it. As I told him, those people are intellectually weak. There's no sense in engaging them in debate, especially when they're immersed in an atmosphere which constantly promotes that vacuousness.
