That's a good point.  Maybe Biden was a little too honest about how he would pick his running mate.  I don't recall any other candidate giving the real reason.  It's usually some pablum about how they are picking the best person to do the job if something happens to the President, etc etc.  I don't recall Trump saying anything like "I am going to pick someone to shore up the evangelical vote."  Biden came right out and made the pick all about affirmative action, which was stupid because most people don't like affirmative action.
