A Good man with good intentions with all his work with Habitat for Humanity. People say is was a bad President, but when you look at the hand he was dealt, we had just really gotten out of the Vietnam war right before he was elected, we were in the middle of a huge recession because a lot of industries, mainly, the steel industries which had a trickle down effect on the entire economy so other industries had to lay off people and on down the line it went. Then, when you consider the fact of the Arab oil embargo which really crippled the economy with rising prices to the point where inflation, which was already out of control from the Ford Administration, it was going to take a major effort from both the government, and the private sector to get us out of. It was a situation where no one could possibly bluff their way out of.
