Yeah, I'm tired of hearing people say "we need a coach that can get Trevor to the next level," or "we need a coach that can get the best out of Trevor."  Build a good team and Trevor will be great.  We see it all the time.  Bad QB goes to good team and magically becomes a good QB.  Sam Darnold, for example.  We need to stop asking Trevor to lift the whole team.  "But an elite QB can lift the whole team."  That's nonsense.  It's no coincidence that almost every "great" QB happens to be playing on a great team.

Exactly. I made this argument in the Trevor thread. You don't expect a QB to make everyone around him great. You surround them with good players and they all become great. Manning had Harrison, Brady had Moss, Gronk, Walker, Mahomes had Hill and Kelce. 

This idea that a QB should overcome all obstacles AND elevate the roster and talent of players is absurd. No one player can do all that.
