No need to bash someone because they look like a college kid and think they can't command a locker room. Kevin OcConnell is beloved in that locker room. His players would run through a brick wall for him but because he doesn't scream about biting knee caps like Campbell, people think he can't command the locker room.

Kevin is a former NFL player unlike Liam and Mike McDaniel. Therein lies the respect. We’ll see how he does in the playoffs now that at least one defensive coordinator (a seasoned one) knows how to shut down Darnold to Jefferson. 

I admit that Lafleur and McVay are elite, but I think they are outliers. Maybe Canales and Callahan will prove me wrong in time. Mike McDaniel and Josh McDaniels set the young guns back, however.
