I wouldnt be shocked if Starks fell to the 2nd. Its possible but I dont think 2 safties go in the 1st this year. Agreed we need to get one in the 2nd though. I think you see a few go in the 2nd. Really the only difference between the Texans great D and our D other than coaching this their secondary. The have an All Pro corner and 2 good safties. We can do that in FA and the draft.(01-11-2025, 04:22 PM)flgatorsandjags Wrote: Ebuka in the teens? Yuk He had a great sophomore year and then he just hasnt lived up for it imo. The Ohio St freshman is much better. You would think being his senior year he would be the number 1 WR. I remember not that long ago you saying you wasnt that high on Starks and now you would like him in the teens? Is Starks better than Watts and Emmanwori? On Ebuka, hes a good great career because of longevity which is important, but I just cant see drafting him in the teens with what will be available. I wouldnt draft a WR 2 in the teens. If there was a WR 1 sitting there id be good with it but this draft is weak at WR imo. If we trade back to the teens im thinking one of the pass rushers. There are a lot of good pass rushers in this draft even if there are not the elite prospects. With our 2nd pick edge would be a great spot too. Sawyer or Tuimoloau would be great there, they dominated Texas's oline who some think is great lol. Both of Georgia's edges as well along with Scouron and Pierce. I think one of the pass rushers fall to the mid 2nd and my hope is we trade up from the 3rd. All 6 of those edges along with Mike White would be an amazing 3rd edge player for us and what we have been missing. That might be the deepest position in the 1st 3 rounds or so to where we can finally get our 3rd edge if we dont get one in FA. Both Sawyer and JT were 5 star recruits and came back just to win a championship and probably will, I like that about them. Sawyer was number 4 Jt was number 2 Maason Smith was 31 I like getting 5 star recruits that have been the best at what the do their whole life. High School, college, etc. Sawery and JT are probably 1 and 2 for me and then both Georgia guys. 2021 recruiting class https://247sports.com/season/2021-footba...trankings/ Sawyer was number 6 Jt was number 2 Maason Smith was 31 2022 recruiting class https://247sports.com/season/2022-footba...trankings/ Walter Nolen was number 2 just under Travis Hunter Mykel Willimas was number 7 Starks was 4th overall I love getting the guys that have been the best forever. If I have 2 guys rated equal and 1 was a 2 or 3 star recruit and the other was a top 5 prospect and has been the best in his class his whole life that could be the tie breaker for me, the better rectuit. Big time players make big time plays in big time games. When Jack Sawyer got the sack fumble on Ewers and picked up the ball to run it back for a TD to close out the Texas vs Ohio State game playoff game that just moved him much higher on my board and id love to get him with our 2nd round pick. JT as well. |
