Yeah, Baalke is bad.  But man, Doug and Press were 2 clowns that emphasized the GM's circus.

And yet the DEFENSE was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse in every regard.   Sure, the run defense wasn't statistically as bad...but if you have arguably the worst rated pass defense...and you play in the worst division in football...maybe being okish against the run doesn't mean your run defense is actually good either.

Doug and Trent needed to go...yes, but for 3 years I've been waiting to see how the Jaguars defense (against good offenses) was even average.

Getting Ben Johnson or Mr. Coen is great and all, but if we get beaten 29 -32 every game who cares about offensive stats?

Still harping on that are we? Simple fact that no amount of coaching makes a team that can't physically run the ball able to run the ball. You wanna know why they were awful in the red zone? Because every running play immediately reset the line of scrimmage 2 yards back from where it was at the snap. Just the most incapable run blocking I think I've seen in over 40 years of watching football. But hey, if Pederson had just pressed the triangle button, right? Lol.

This post is 100% correct.

Fixing the defensive side of the ball would still be the biggest improvement imo.
