Defensive Identity?

I would be looking at a traditional 4 - 3 base front with Hines-Allen at RE, Armstead and Smith inside at DT and Walker at LE. In certain situations where a run is likely to happen or we're playing a run oriented offense you would then start to see Hamilton and Jefferson rotated into the line-up. Armstead is a 10 year guy who isn't heavy enough to go every down inside. It would be better if Smith and Jefferson are your early down guys and EA rolls in to spell and pass rush. I still think the DTs are ok in the first 4, but finding a 5th guy who isn't just a stiff is important this offseason. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato
