Lol. The initial proposal required Ukraine to use its mineral resources to repay $500 billion in military aid but the new agreement does not involve repayment or a security guarantee. Instead it establishes a reconstruction investment fund with joint U.S.-Ukraine ownership of which Ukraine will contribute 50% of revenues from government-owned natural resources into the fund. The fund will be reinvested into developing projects in Ukraine with an aim to attract private sector investment which is what will drive value for us in this agreement. The new deal doesn't provide explicit security guarantees, which is why Little Z and you won't like it since it doesn't force us into a shooting war with Russia, but it does force both the Russians and the Ukrainians to prioritize peace since we (America) will have national and commercial interests in the region. Either of them [BLEEP] it up and they have to deal with us. But of course your boy didn't sign the agreement because it dries up his gravy train of endless American slush. Fortunately the Europeans have decided to become his new piggy bank so we don't have to worry about anything; they'll fight Russia to create peace in the region and everyone will live in harmony in 20 or 30 years after Zelensky retires and his successor sues for a decades-overdue peace.
