Last year we had a 7 win team that had enough bad breaks and bad luck to lose 3 games they should have won.
So far, this year's team is a bit worse. The players we gained in free agency are probably not as good as the ones we lost. Even so, today's team should win 5 or 6 games. With luck they could win 7 or 8.
That could all change with the draft. If we get a couple of disrupters on D, (S, CB, or DT - we have enough talent at DE and LB) they might create more turnovers and sacks and bring more wins. Even better, if we get a couple of road graders on the OL, they could finally allow #1 or #4 to really run wild like we know they can. And that would change everything. A play action pass to BTJ would actually work and be the dagger for a few more wins. Those guys are available. Just gotta avoid picking players we already have and avoid picking players who won't pan out.
