Speaking of scaring people away from electric cars, there is a bill advancing in the Florida legislature which would allow towing companies to triple the rate they charge to electric cars as compared to gas cars. In the previous session, they made a law that overturned any county or city ordinance that might have required a charging station at a new development. 

So yes there are definitely Republicans that hate electric cars.

Nobody hated him before he got into politics.
Then he became a friend and supporter of Trump.
He was appointed to run DOGE, fulfilling one of Trump's primary campaign promises.
Now people hate him, but they're not Democrats???  Again, where have Republicans verbalized their hate?

A bill "advancing in the Florida Legislature" = Republicans hate electric cars?  That's a stretch, even for you.

I'm not sure what we are disagreeing about. 
I agree Republicans don't hate Musk personally, I'm just saying that up to about four months ago, Democrats didn't either.  
Many Republicans do dislike Tesla, and electric cars in general.  
The Florida Legislature, for all of its inadequacies, does a pretty good job of putting its stuff online and making it easy for Google to find.  The bill about charging stations is already law.  The one about towing is Senate Bill 872.  It is out of committee and likely to pass.
