If we do make such an offer, I hope we are really careful and dot every i and cross every t.   Because every lawyer in Cleveland will be looking at that thing trying to figure out how to get the commissioner to void it.   Actually, I am thinking this may be the reason for the delay in signing him.   We might be calling in every expert we can get to pass judgment on whether this kind of approach is airtight. 

 

I wouldn't rush this thing if I was Dave Caldwell.   It seems like the more people think about this, the better the ideas get about how to pull this off.
