I think they only want a long term deal; which is why the tagged him the way they did. So hopefully, someone would generate a long term deal that they can match and get. He obviously doesn't want to be there. So I doubt they would do that just for the one year when their plan is to get him to sign an extension or match another long term deal. At least that's what I think from what I've read.
