It happened 30 years ago when they were trying to break the monopoly the NFL had on TV rights. Trump wanted to take the USFL to the fall to go head to head with the NFL. They won the lawsuit, but it killed the league. There are a few owners still around, but the majority won't care. Can he bring more money to the league? That's all that matters.
