There's no way Luke will mutate, divide in two, in order to provide superior pass protection. 

 

Even with two elite, franchise offensive tackles you will still be dangling Manziel in front of powerful defensive linemen, who will find a way around superior pass protectors from time to time. If the quarterback is spindly all it takes is one solid sack and he's out for the season, or possibly a NFL career.

 

There's a huge difference between confidence and head-strong.

 

What I didn't like about Manziel's Pro Day was the way he was too quick to disagree with a far superior NFL expert. Johnny made immature, Byron Leftwich you're not the boss of me faces at Mike Mayock when he asked the tougher questions, and the short clip of the way he appeared to be genuinely embarrassed by barking to his receivers indicates he's going to have a long learning curve. There's nothing corny about being a total pro.

 

There is nothing Johnny Manziel faced at Texas A&M that will compare to what's in store for him in the pro ranks. 

 

The helmet and shoulder pads will probably become standards at Pro Days in the future for all prospects, but it's clear any team that drafts him is gonna have to prepare their offensive coaching staff for those days when the helmet and the shoulder pads are thrown down in disgust.
