Which Qbs Can Do The Most For Their Draft Stock

#1

Since the Jaguars are going to be in the hunt for the number 1 pick and QB seems to be a position that will be drafted at some point, we should take notice of the QBs that have the most to gain from now till the Draft. Who can do the most for their stock? This is not a reflection of the top 5 QBs, just the guys who can shoot up the boards based on their circumstances (that's why there's no Tahj Boyd).

1. Aaron Murray

The knock on Murray has been his height and inability to win the big games. While he can't control his height, his senior campaign is proving a lot for the quarterback who is 99 yards away from breaking the all-time SEC record for career passing yards. With back-to-back wins vs. Top 10 teams, he's showing that he can win the big games and will have opportunites against Florida and probable games vs. Alabama (SEC Championship Game) and a BCS bowl game. Murray has the best shot from now until the 2014 Draft to improve his draft stock. He could wind up being a Top 10 pick.

2. Zach Mettenberger

Who was this guy who looked like a lost puppy his first few games as a starter? Mettenberger probably won't be a first rounder, but he has a chance to soar up in the draft and become a potential 2nd round pick. Things started to click for him in the second half of last season and this time around, he's even better.

3. Brett Hundley

Brett Hundley is a guy who, like Murray, has a few big games coming up that could turns his draft fortunes and turn heads. Big games vs. top 10 teams like #8 Stanford and #2 Oregon could really shape how teams view him. At this point, Hundley is a good player with loads of potential. He's the guy with the big arm, speed, and tall. He could end up being a top ten pick

4. Marcus Mariota

For Mariota, it's just business as usual. I think he is in a situation where he has to show he can be a leader. NFL teams know what Mariota brings, and under the right scheme, I think someone will bite on him in the first round. He has loads of potential and has a nearly unscathed record as a starting quarterback.

5. Teddy Bridgewater

How can you improve your draft stock or become a safer pick when you're projected to go number 1 overall? Keep playing playing like the #1 pick! Bridgewater's competition won't be a challenge until he plays for a BCS Bowl Game, so it's up to him to further himself from the pack. Bridgewater will most likely show enough to solidify himself during his Pro Day, Interviews, and the Combine
