New York Times article on Jameis Winston
|
The official FSU response:
http://www.tomahawknation.com/2014/4/16/...is-winston For those that don't want to plow through the PC speak, FSU's programs for rape victims involve confidentiality between counseler and victim that can only be breached at the victim's say-so. So they had not heard of any previous complaint. Also, the statistics are misleading in that 83% of students live off campus where rapes are investigated by TPD while still potentially being provided counseling by the university. So they aren't underreporting rapes on campus despite that allegation. Everything else seems to be the usual "of course we care, we care so much, look how much we care," that comes out from every school when something bad happens on campus. |
