Rookies can take some time to develop, but usually one sees some 'wow' plays that give one hope for the future. Even Alualu had a 'wow' play in his first preseason game. OTOH, Reggie Williams never had a 'wow' play as a rookie.

Being an offensive lineman, there's not a lot of opportunity to 'wow', but I don't remember any 'wow' plays from Joeckel. I don't remember any pancake blocks, or him stoning a pass rusher at the LOS. If anyone here knows of a video of a great play from Joeckel, please post it.

As far as playing out of position, he failed to cut the rusher (although he was in position to do so) on several plays allowing tipped/intercepted passes, which should not matter whether he's playing RT or LT. I don't think he's as far along as Monroe was by game 4, and Monroe really didn't start playing well until his 3rd season.
