Quote:Whoa bro! I was just saying how there isn't such a thing as safe picks. Why the blowup? Cry baby... That's a blowup? Anyway, I think he's the best of the bunch. Most accurate (in games, apparently not in shorts), showed up in big games, and improved every year. If you look at Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and Andrew Luck; all improved year to year throughout college showing they have high ceilings. The same is true to a lesser extent for Russell Wilson and Kaepernick who each had big jumps their senior year. Looking at this year's prospects: Bridgewater made solid gains every year. Manziel and Bortles are 2-year starters which has proven to be riskier. Carr didn't improve except for the fact he threw a #@$% ton more passes this year. The other SEC QBs mainly stayed the same stat-wise. And looking back, it's hard to find QBs in top tier college ball with a high completion percentage, starting 3-4 years, improving each and every year, that weren't successes to some degree in the NFL. He could get hurt, but otherwise I think he's a guy that will play in a lot of NFL playoff games. |
