I did not list those traits as "deficiencies," nor did I indicate at any point that he would ever be precluded from being a good NFL QB due to his physical attributes.

 

As a matter of fact, earlier in the thread I specifically mentioned Jonathan Quinn (6-6 243), and Blaine Gabbert (6-5, 235) as examples of guys with prototype size that failed miserably in the NFL, especially when compared to Brunell (6-1)and Brees (6-0) who succeeded.

 

Of particular interest to me is the idea that just in 2011 a guy named Jake Locker could stand 6-2 (same as Bridgewater), and not in any way be castigated for lack of prototype size.  The overriding concern for him heading into the draft was his inaccuracy.

The same people constantly harping on Bridgewater for his lack of prototype size have been silent on the same issue with the shorter Manziel. 

 

There have been numerous successful NFL QBs that have not had prototype size.

 

There have NOT been many successful NFL QBs that cannot read defenses or are inaccurate.
