Yep. Giving away value in the draft is stupid, just because you fall in love with player x. 

 

Teams that ace the draft understand this concept. 

 

If you don't have to select Tom Brady until round 6, then you're a donkey if you reach for him in round 2, just because you happen to think he'll be good.
