You're forgetting that its not out of the realm of possibility that Matthews is indeed the "best player available" at the selection. 

 

Just because Don Banks writes a puff piece on Mack doesn't make him the best option for the pick.


I didn't realize the Mack rise is directly tied to Don Banks' "puff piece". Seems to me his name was already being discussed when that article came out.
