How many day 1 starters at the c position do you usually get out of a draft class ?

 

I take Teddy at 3 because I feel he's the second best player in the draft. I could certainly be wrong, but my admitted amateur evaluation it's not a reach.

 

As for the centers, you probably have Swanson as starting material where I don't. And no, the center class is not weak compared to other center classes. It is weak when compared to the historically deep position groups that are in this draft like WR.

 

Jordan Matthews is the #66 draft prospect (according the cbssports.com for consistency). Yankey is #119! In a normal year no way Matthews is outside the top 50 and no way Yankey is outside the top 100. And they're not badly misranked either. There are just a LOT of good players.

 

I can't see drafting what will be a merely adequate starting center in rounds 2 or 3. And I can't see drafting what would only be a minor upgrade over Brewster in the 4th round. Too much value elsewhere.
