He was flat-out fat.  Not slightly overweight, or "out of shape" he looked like he has his foot in the air while eating Dominos Pizza every day.

 

I know you had a broken foot, but there are ways to stay in shape.  Ride the bike, a lot... when the foot gets a little better get in the pool.  Eat better...  

 

If you were the Jags, and you just witness your running back injured for 1 year, and then fat/ineffective for the next year, would YOU re-sign him?  Don't think so.

 

Yeah, he could have remained in Jacksonville to work with the training staff to maintain his physical conditioning at a higher level than he did.  In the latest attempt to play the victim, he even said he showed up out of shape after the foot injury, and somehow tried to twist it like the team had the audacity to show no loyalty to him because of that.  He fails to recognize he didn't really show the team much respect by showing up fat.  He never shed the extra lbs and played heavy last season. He clearly had lost a step.  I'm not sure what he was expecting here, but he's not a dumb guy.  He had to realize this could jeopardize his time in Jax.
