Weaver didn't have the resources Khan has to make major improvements to the stadium.  The change in approach based on who owns the team has been pretty dramatic.  Nothing against Weaver, but the guy was cutting and pinching pennies in the front office for several years before selling the team.  They gutted the ticketing staff, and made other changes to cut costs on the back end of the business, and then didn't particularly overspend when it came to the product on the field. 

 

Going from a multi-millionaire owner to a billionaire owner who is younger, and has more of a global vision for the franchise, and for the city is a tremendous change. 

 

Weaver got us the team.  For this, the fans in Jacksonville should be forever grateful.  But, in order to take things to the next level, we needed a visionary owner, and I think we've got that in Khan.  While most potential owners were looking at this as a small market franchise that would need to move to a bigger market, Khan has looked at this team with the expectation that he'd grow the market.  That will serve us well over the long haul.
