Under the circumstances, I don't think 16 picks would be too much.

 

If the team managed to hit on half, and to plug the holes you've listed, it would go down as one of the best drafts in the history of the franchise. 

 

This is going to be a telling draft.  There's a lot of opportunity here for Caldwell to really prove himself.  He could also fall flat on his face.  Let's hope not!
