My only concern is this: When will we get a shot at a prospect who is better than Teddy? Hes not perfect. But next year we probably wont be selecting top 5. Maybe the top 3 prospects are gone by our selection. Relying on 2nd rounders or beyond to become "the guy" isnt really a great plan. The odds are stacked heavily against you. 

 

I agree that Mack/Watkins are higher rated players. But Im not so sure it would be wise to pass on a QB who IMO has the potential to be the leader of a franchise. Maybe he's not going to be a Brees/Manning/Luck, but I mean, who is? Its rare that those guys come around. If thats the standard for drafting a QB in the 1st you are going to be waiting a long time. If you think he doesnt have the capability to be an upper tier QB then ok, select a building block and I wont really be against it. But Im just hoping the front office isnt relying on hitting a late round QB to be successful, because those odds are very low.
