You seem to miss the point that the advertisers are willing to pay only if they know people will watch. People = fans.

 

My God - those TV people might want to give people what they want! We'd better stop them now!

 

I like the 12 game playoff system. Primarily because that's what I'm used to, not because of some phony "purity" issue. But I also understand that others think differently.

 

The TV ratings, as always, will let everyone know how people feel about all this, if and when it happens.
