Here's my take on it Andy. I don' t necessarily agree with it. But for those dropping Teddy, here's I think their explanation/justification. 

 

Pretty much since last year this time, Bridgewater was penned in as the best/most pro ready QB. It was almost a given, and so perhaps people(Mayock included) didn't scrutinize him as much as they should. Not much was actually said about him during the season, Teddy didn't grab many 'headlines', he was overshadowed by other dominant stories(for better or worse).

 

Think about last college season Andy. I would say it was dominated by 3 major headlines. 

Beginning of the season: Manziel scandal, did he get paid for autographs, will it affect his on the field play?

Mid-season: Clowney is not playing hard(enough)

End of Season: Winston scandal, will he play for the championship, etc.

 

Throughout this turbulent season, Manziel's and clowney's draft-status was really up and down, while Teddy's stayed pretty even at #1 or #2. Now that things have cooled down, it seems Clowney and Manziel have returned to almost locks for the top 5, while the scrutiny that was on them all season has gone fully to Bridgewater post-season. 

 

Putting Teddy under Garopp and others is just stupid tho IMO.
