Comments by LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

Quote:There was a good biography on Stern.  It was the late 70's/early 80's when they couldn't even get people into the All Star game.  They were giving away free tickets for it.

He chose to focus their marketing on individuals (Magic, Bird, Isiah, Jordan) and thats what sparked the NBA.
He was the first commissioner to market it's stars individually and not the team as a whole. That was a biggie.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
