7 Picks in Top 100....Would You Do This Trade?

#16

Quote:I don't know about that. With as deep as this draft is this year, San Fran could use that as leverage.  Still really good players available at #30, then also at the other picks they would be giving us (late 2nd and 3rd round).  Look at the players we could (possibly) get with those picks.  If Caldwell was slick enough, he might could get a 2nd round pick in 2015 thrown in.

SF would have zero leverage.  They'd have to give adequate value to jump from 30 to 3, and what you've proposed does not represent anything close to value.  They'd be fleecing the Jags. The Jaguars would be trading out of a PREMIUM position in the draft to a bottom of the first round prospect.  There's a price to pay for that kind of move, and what you're presenting here doesn't cover the bill.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
