Quote:Lubi's on Sunbeam - I used to work in Madarin and after running out of places to eat for lunch I offered up Lubi's as a joke to my coworkers.  Having not grown up in Jax I didn't know that it had quite a history, I just saw it as some hole in the wall with a funny name and was trying to be humorous.  Well my coworkers all got excited and told me how good it was so I gave it a chance.  Gotta say walking in and seeing the old decor and dirty restaurant was not a good start, then the menu was not really easy to decipher, and finally the cashier threw my stuff in a counter top microwave and I thought a trip to the ER for food poisoning was in my near future.  I was hesitant to try the food I ordered, just getting the same thing everyone else ordered, but my friends convinced me to eat it.  Oddly enough the mix of nuked ground beef, sour cream, marinara, mozzarella cheese and onion was pretty darn good.  The worst part is that it was the type of place that you would crave more and more the more often you would go there.  I haven't been in probably 7 years having moved away and no longer working in that part of town, but I think I know what may be for lunch tomorrow.
