Regardless of his relative inexperience, Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell told reporters at his pre-draft press conference on Friday that Manziel is the most NFL ready of the quarterback prospects in the draft class.

 

While Caldwell admitted that the majority of the quarterback prospects won't be ready to step in and play right away, he singled out Manziel as the possible exception.

 

"Johnny would probably be the one guy you could plug in there sooner rather than later just because his style of play isn't going to change much from Year 1 to Year 2," Caldwell said (via Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union).
