Johnny Manziel Is Most NFL Ready of QB Prospects, Says Dave Caldwell
|
Quote:I'm not generally a supporter of the Jags drafting Manziel. However, after todays comments I was reminded of when we drafted Denard Robinson. Those two players in my opinion are totally unrelated but I would like to comment on your other point. Caldwell has said nothing about a 3 year plan. He is not the arrogant guy Gene Smith was and would never predict how fast he could build a team from the ground up. I fully expect Caldwell to draft a qb in round 2-4 and develop them. If a first round qb comes available in future drafts them I see him going that route. Looking at this team Caldwell would need more than 3-4 years to build anything of substance her. Maybe he gets lucky and has 2 amazing drafts in a row but that isn't plausible. Just don't put a time frame on this is all I'm saying. You would most likely set yourself up to hate Caldwell in the end. |
