Using flawed metrics to validate flawed thoughts. Wide Receivers do not get drafted top 5 every year, and basing a player's worth on whether he played in the Super Bowl is ridiculous and unrealistic expectations. Only 3 QB's in the past 20 years have made it to the Super Bowl with the team that drafted him, which isn't statistically significant to justify drafting one position over another.

 

Here's a stat for ya: In the last 20 years, 40% of QB's drafted in the top 5 have turned out to be busts, while only 25% of Wide Receivers turned out to be busts. Picking the player and not the position is a much better decision,
