It's not about being a QB away from making the playoffs.  It's about not setting this team back another couple of years if possible. 

 

Manziel could wind up being very good at the next level, or he could wind up being a bust.  Time will tell.  I don't have a problem with them drafting him.  I just think folks need to temper their enthusiasm if he is the pick because there are a lot of flags there.
You mean the team hasn't recovered from Leftwich, Williams, M. Jones, Nelson, and the infamous Harvey/Groves tandem. The team would not have been set back for so long if it wasn't for the years of bad drafts. Leftwich wasn't the answer as early as 2007, but the front office found several duds. The drafts from 2004-2008 set the team back more so than any QB. Now the team has several holes to fill because of Shack and Gene.
