However, ProFootballTalk reported agent Erik Burkhardt, one of the men who represents Manziel, said Sports Illustrated's report was "not true." ProFootballTalk also reported Maverick Carter, who handles marketing for Manziel, was with Burkhardt at the time of the denial -- apparently some think Carter is behind the idea that Manziel would rather not play in Jacksonville.

 

I think the leak is from an agent who thinks playing here would be bad for business (meaning the dolla dolla bills y'all). I doubt Maziel said this. How could anyone with Gus in our corner?? Seriously??
