A flash in the pan QB isn't going to attract anything.  Players are wanting to come to Jacksonville already to play for Gus, and to play in the state of Florida where there are no taxes to eat up a chunk of their income.  This is professional football.  Players want to play where they're going to get paid.

 

I don't think I explained myself well on that one.  First off, I think the story is irrelevant and I was talking hypothetically.  The issues cited in the story was about living in Jacksonville as a city, and had nothing to do with football taxes or playing for the Jaguars whatsoever.  It was more about a big fish not wanting to go to a small pond.  But does the big fish make the pond bigger is what I'm saying. 

 

And at this point I'm not even talking about Manziel as a QB.  He's nearly an A-List celebrity already.  Tebow was big, but Manziel's appeal is completely different monster.
