Playing in the smallest market in the league could jeopardize his earning potential, which I think is a reason to go ahead and draft him.  Let's just screw up their grand plans and force him to earn recognition the old fashioned way: by earning it.


Cam Newton once said before he was drafted that he wanted to be an icon...similar to what you described here.


He was met with derision.


Ultimately, he worked hard enough to improve to become one of the better QBs in the league last year.


If Manziel comes here, we can only hope he will match or surpass Newton on the field.
