Gosh.  That's really going out on a limb to suggest that New England would try to find a sucker to take their cast offs before they hit free agency.  THAT'S never happened before.  I guess we should be in awe of you, but the smell of burned grease diminishes the moment. 

 

When Mallet fails, this post shows the tap dance you'll do to explain away your love for the guy.  Saying you hope he fails is nothing more than cover.  If he is even marginally average, you'll snap your spine patting yourself on the back for how much of a talent evaluator you are.  We know the drill.  Cover your rear, then prepare to tell the world how smart you are, then run away when it blows up in your face.  It's what you do.
