Mallett is being traded for to be their franchise guy. Their starting QB. 

 

Leftwich and Gabbert were traded on the cheap to be a backup. 
 

Gabbert has more of a resume than Mallett in the NFL.  So does Leftwich.  If the Texans are dumb enough to trade for Mallett to be their "franchise guy", they're in for a real disappointment.  But, when he falls on his face and fails there, we already know where you'll stand on the issue.  As far away from the topic as possible.
