Caldwell Went Back On His Word
|
You don't have to worry about Caldwell going back on his word.
He's screwing up really bad. Guys that come in and want to win later then draft poorly never last long. This is his second draft. Apart from Luke Joeckel he's done nothing to improve the talent level of the roster. It's highly likely he will continue to screw up the rest of this draft. You don't tuck a number three quarterback pick away. The talent level in return for that pick has to be elite. That's not my opinion either. That's the way it goes. A number one to number three over-all pick quarterback has elite level talent across the board. There are no flaws whatsoever in his game. From day one, despite being a rookie his game is advanced to that of a season NFL veteran. He starts right away and immediately makes his team Super Bowl contenders. Bortles is none of that. Caldwell and Bradley are gonna have to play Bortles right away. If he's not ready by the start of next season, he's a bust without even playing a regular season snap. Bortles is what you get when you over-draft quarterback to make a player to fit the need you think you have.
