You take the scouting report and ask if it's the only copy on property. If yes, without reading a single word you throw it in the garbage and upbraid the junior scout and warn him if he ever accepts outside scouting paraphernalia again, he's fired.

I sure hope none of these things describe Bortles, I think it has been widely acknowledged that Bortles seemed to be pretty clear of character or work ethic red flags though. Still these scouts do a lot more research into the lives of these young men then many of us do, so it is interesting to see what they have discovered. Especially when it comes to hyped prospects like jfootball
