***The Official 2014 NFL Draft Thread Day 2***
|
I have concerns on the draft as the rest of you, but I know I'm not a good a scout as Caldwell and co. This isn't like Gene's Smith era. He didn't reach for a 2nd round DT. He selected who he thought was a franchise QB.... and you don't pass that up for anything... even an extra 1st round pick if you think he's gonna be gone. The Skins give up 2 extra 1st round picks to get one. Not saying Bortles will be great, but Caldwell thinks he will be and so far Caldwell has done well in FA and drafts I believe.
Remember, Gus Bradley came from Seattle. The one thing you saw from Seattle is they ALL played with a chip on their shoulder. What did Lee just say? He has a big one on his. Caldwell and Gus are building a culture. |
