It would make no sense for the NFL to force a team to keep a player that potentially offers them nothing in return.


As for weed- I have absolutely no problem with people smoking weed. Unless their job stipulates that they cannot. And if a player's multi-million dollar livelihood rests on them not smoking weed, and they do it anyways...they have bigger problems.

 

He costs exactly zero roster spots while he is suspended, so garbage. As far as the weed thing, they need to just do it like the NBA does and let the players KNOW when the drug testing is coming up so they have enough time to detox. It's criminal the treatment that Gordon, Blackmon and others are getting, especially when you consider the fact that about 40-50% of the players smoke or have smoked. Hell, looks from this that the first thing Ha-Ha did after getting drafted was light a doubie.
